Introduction

wIzQubes^TM 1.0 Sp1 contain the following features:

n          improvement of software reliability and compatibility

n          zooming in and out (scale display) of the story scenes

n          auto-return to the story selection menu and no interruption of having to use the mouse

n          newly updated menu system

 

New Feature: The Display Scale Option

The Display Scale option is a new feature introduced by wIzQubes^TM 1.0 Sp1. This feature allows the player to zoom in and out of the story scene. The player can access this feature via the wIzQubes^TM Setting Dialog. To access this feature:

 

1.         Start wIzQubes^TM 1.0 Player.

2.         Select one of the stories.

3.         In Story mode, press Esc to bring up the wIzQubes^TM Setting Dialog. ( Snapshots below )

4.         Uncheck the Auto checkbox under the Display Scale section.

5.         To zoom in/out, drag left/right respectively to achieve the effect you want.

System Requirements of wIzQubes^TM 1.0 Sp1

Before installing wIzQubes^TM 1.0 Sp1, please make sure that your system meets the following requirements:

l          Operating System: Windows XP, Windows 2000 SP4, or Windows Vista*

l          wIzQubes^TM Software: MXR USB 2.0 Webcam Driver and wIzQubes^TM 1.0

* wIzQubes^TM was tested to be compatible with Windows Vista^® in our testing environments. Since Vista^® may not be fully compatible with all hardware， MXR does not guarantee the compatibility of wIzQubes^TM on Vista^®. However, we will work with our official partner Microsoft to resolve any problems reported by our customers.

Installing wIzQubes^TM 1.0 Sp1

Please read following instructions carefully before installing wIzQubes^TM 1.0 Sp1.

 

Prior to installation, please ensure that:

 

l          MXR USB 2.0 Webcam driver and wIzQubes^TM 1.0 have been installed

l          All running applications have been closed.

l          Real-time anti-virus service is stopped. Some anti-virus software might pop up a dialogue requiring authorization of running our installation scripts. Please remember to resume the service once the installation is completed

l          If you are using Faster User Switching, make sure that all other users are logged out from the computer and that only you are logged in. You must login as system administrator.

 

To install wIzQubes^TM 1.0 Sp1 from the CD

1.         Insert the CD containing the software package into the CD-Rom.

2.         It takes a few seconds for the auto-run installation script to begin.

a)        Go to step 3 if you see a pop-out installation interface. Otherwise,,

b)        Run the installation by the following steps:

l          Click Start, and then click Run…

l          Type <D:>\setup.exe (where <D:> is the drive letter associated with your CD-ROM drive), and then press ENTER

3.         When the installation interface pops out, click on:

 

4.         You will be prompted by the software license agreement. Please read it carefully and make sure you have understood the terms before clicking on ‘Agree’.

 

 

5.         If you choose ‘Agree’, click on the ‘Next’ button to continue the installation.

6.         Wait for a few minutes until the installation is completed. DO NOT run any other applications or close the installation windows while the installation program is running.

7.         You will be prompted with error messages if the installation was not successful. Follow the instructions that appear, double-check the steps required prior to installation as mentioned before, or refer to the FAQs in the technical support section on our website.

8.         If the installation was successfully completed, click ‘Finish’ to finish the installation.

 

To install wIzQubes^TM 1.0 Sp1 from the Web

1.         Download wIzQubes^TM  1.0 Sp1 zip file from the download section on MXR website http://www.mxrcorp.com/TechnicalSupport.htm.

2.         Extract the zip file to a folder (for example: c:\wIzQubes_sp1)

3.         Run Setup.exe from that folder (for example: c:\wIzQubes_sp1\setup.exe)

4.        Follow the instructions under ’To install wIzQubes^TM  1.0 Sp1 from the CD’ section (from Step 3 onwards) to complete the installation.

 

Uninstalling wIzQubes^TM 1.0 Sp1

To do this, you must log in as ‘Administrator’. To remove wIzQubes^TM 1.0 and the Sp1^*:

1.         Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

2.         Click Add or Remove Programs, select wIzQubes^TM 1.0, and then click Remove

3.         Follow the instructions that appear.

*If you choose to remove wIzQubes^TM 1.0, the Sp1 will also be removed automatically.
